Londonderry, NH Job Details Temporary $18.00 - $19.25 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Packaging machines Tooling Cutting machines Assembly line Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a variety of manufacturing machinery to produce high-quality components and products. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, precision measurement, and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment, possess technical proficiency with CNC machines and programmable controllers, and demonstrate a commitment to quality and efficiency. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic production facility focused on excellence and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Operate and monitor various manufacturing equipment including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, and fabrication tools. Set up machinery according to specifications using blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical instructions. Program CNC machines utilizing CAM programming software and adjust parameters for optimal performance. Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure product quality. Perform troubleshooting and minor maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling tools; ensure proper storage and inventory control. Read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and blueprints for accurate fabrication. Maintain accurate production records, document machine settings, and report issues promptly. Follow safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Assist in assembly line operations when required, supporting packaging and final product inspection. Experience Proven factory or manufacturing facility experience with hands-on operation of CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or stamping presses. Familiarity with Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and CNC programming techniques. Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks for interpreting design drawings. Knowledge of tooling setup, fabrication processes, welding techniques, and materials handling. Ability to use hand tools effectively along with precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers. Strong mechanical knowledge related to machining processes including CAM programming and setup of press brake machines. Prior experience working in assembly lines or packaging environments is advantageous. Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and quality control assessments. Excellent blueprint reading skills combined with an understanding of GD&T principles. Demonstrated commitment to safety standards and quality assurance in a manufacturing setting.
