Starting at $25.00/hour Job Description We are currently hiring an experienced QC / Packaging Operator for our client, a manufacturing company located in Carlstadt, NJ. The QC / Packaging Operator will be responsible for performing final quality checks and packaging finished wood doors prior to shipment. The right candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience operating packaging equipment, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities Operate the plastic/bubble wrap packaging machine to protect finished doors. Read and interpret job tickets and production paperwork. Perform final quality inspections for finish, dimensions, and defects. Verify product count, sizing, and order accuracy. Identify and report defective or non-conforming products before packaging. Label and stage packaged doors for shipment. Monitor packaging materials and notify the Supervisor when supplies are low. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety and quality procedures. Maintain production pace and meet shipping requirements. Requirements 3+ years of experience operating a plastic/bubble wrap packaging machine required. Manufacturing or production experience preferred. Ability to read and understand job tickets and production paperwork. Strong attention to detail and quality-control skills. Basic math skills for measurements and counting. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and move finished doors up to 75 lbs. with assistance as needed. Ability to bend, reach, and use hands and arms repetitively. Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of a manufacturing environment.
