3:00 pm to 11:30 pmPackaging Operator Responsibilities:
Operate manual or semiautomatic systems processing chemical substances into industrial or consumer products such as sealants, adhesives, mortars, primers, and intermediates. Load specified amounts of solid materials into heating/cooling vessels or blending tanks and set controls in specified sequences to start automatic feed. Monitor chemical reactions, gauges, signals, and recorders; receive notifications to make operating adjustments. Draw samples for quality control analysis and perform chemical tests/QC checks to ensure product conforms to specifications using standard test equipment, materials, and procedures. Use a forklift to package, palletize, shrink-wrap, and stage products into a staging area or directly onto trucks for transportation to external warehouses. Perform minor maintenance of equipment, workstations, and manufacturing areas; maintain good housekeeping and adhere to all safety rules. Assist with special projects as needed and ensure conformance with safety regulations.Packaging Operator Requirements:
High School graduate; trade school certification in electronics or related field preferred. Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents in English. Able to lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift. Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve technical problems in the work area.
