Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Cannabis Extraction Specialist and play a vital role in producing high-quality cannabis concentrates. In this energetic and fast-paced environment, you will operate extraction equipment, ensure compliance with strict safety and regulatory standards, and contribute to the creation of premium products. Your mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to safety will drive success in this innovative manufacturing setting. Duties Assist in the preparation and execution of cannabis extraction processes, including but not limited to ethanol, CO2, and hydrocarbon extraction methods. Assist in post-processing of extracted cannabis oil, including refinement and purification steps. Perform accurate material intake, prepare material socks, prepare supplies and/or process for extraction. Provide direct support to the Lead Extractor and other team members as needed. Maintain accurate records of production, batch logs, and laboratory data. Operate extraction machinery and material handling equipment following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols Handle industrial chemicals and solvents with precision, adhering to all safety guidelines including PPE and respiratory protection requirements Conduct routine inspections of equipment, ensuring proper calibration, cleaning, and maintenance to optimize efficiency Assist in packaging finished extracts while following strict regulatory and legal compliance standards in production Follow lean manufacturing principles to identify process improvements, reduce waste, and enhance overall workflow efficiency Support laboratory testing procedures to verify product quality and consistency Requirements Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot extraction equipment and material handling systems Familiarity with GMP, CGMP, and regulatory/legal compliance standards specific to cannabis or pharmaceutical production Ability to handle chemicals safely using appropriate PPE, including respiratory protection when necessary Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control documentation Strong adherence to safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and chemical handling procedures Laboratory experience or machining skills are advantageous for equipment maintenance tasks Strong attention to detail and accuracy in executing tasks. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Capability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and adapt to changing priorities. Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and compliance protocols. Ability to learn quickly and efficiently while following standard operating procedures.
