Full Job Description Job Description Position Summary:

Symphony Handmade Papers is seeking a skilled and professional Papermaker to join our creative team on a full-time basis. This hands-on role primarily involves crafting premium handmade seeded paper products and operating antique die-cutting machinery. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently on their own, or as part of a team, will be detail-oriented and reliable. They will consistently hit production and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce handmade paper using established techniques, ensuring consistency and quality. Provide ideas for system, productivity and quality improvements. Operate die-cutting equipment to cut paper into various sizes and designs as per specifications. Inspect finished products for quality assurance and address any defects. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring proper care of tools and materials. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and communicate restocking needs. Collaborate with the team to fulfill production goals and meet deadlines. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating machinery and handling materials.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in papermaking, die-cutting, or a similar craft preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Basic understanding of machine operations and maintenance. Creativity and an appreciation for handmade and sustainable products. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a production studio environment that may include exposure to water, paper pulp, and machinery. Occasional handling of sharp tools and heavy materials is required.
