Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Production Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate production equipment efficiently and safely while meeting quality and production standards. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities
Safely operate assigned production equipment and machinery.
Consistently meet production goals and quality standards.
Identify and address unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or product defects.
Perform routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
Monitor production processes and communicate equipment or production concerns to supervisors.
Complete production documentation, including production counts, work orders, and manufacturing records.
Assist with machine setups, changeovers, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Inspect work areas and equipment to ensure safety guards and protective devices are in place.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Cross-train in multiple departments as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum one year of manufacturing or production experience.
Ability to read and understand work instructions, production documents, and safety procedures.
Basic math skills, including the ability to accurately use measuring tools and instruments.
Ability to effectively communicate in English.
Ability to operate hand tools, production equipment, and measuring devices.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred
Mechanical troubleshooting experience.
Experience with machine setup and changeovers.
Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and climb throughout the shift.
Ability to reach above shoulders and below the waist as needed.
Regular lifting of materials up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Ability to wear required PPE, including hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed footwear.
Work Environment
Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, forklifts, overhead cranes, airborne particles, and industrial equipment.
Moderate to loud noise levels requiring hearing protection.
Exposure to varying temperatures, ranging from approximately 0°F to 110°F.
