About the Opportunity AVK Elastomer Technology is building a brand-new rubber manufacturing facility in Minden, Nevada, and we are looking for our first Technician to help get the operation up and running. You will play an important role in setting up the factory, learning our equipment and processes, and helping build the culture of our future production team. For the right person, this position also offers the opportunity to grow into a Team Leader role as the organization expands. Previous rubber manufacturing or injection molding experience is not required—we will train you. What matters most is strong mechanical ability, a hands-on mindset, responsibility, and a willingness to learn. Your Role During factory setup, you will work closely with our Technical Manager and equipment suppliers on the installation, commissioning, and startup of new injection molding machines and production equipment . This will allow you to learn the equipment from the ground up. Once production begins, your responsibilities will include: Setting up, adjusting, and running injection molding machines according to established processes. Helping keep production instructions and documentation accurate and up to date. Coordinating mold and machine setup to support on-time customer deliveries. Supporting production operators with the tools, equipment, and information they need. Performing and supporting preventive maintenance. Troubleshooting mechanical and production issues. Following established processes while identifying opportunities for improvement. Taking on increasing responsibility as the factory grows, with the potential to develop into a Team Leader position . What We Are Looking For Hands-On Mechanical Ability You enjoy understanding how machines work, solving mechanical problems, and keeping equipment running smoothly. Mechanical experience is required. Basic electrical knowledge is a plus. Flexibility and Willingness to Learn As a new factory, responsibilities will vary—especially during startup. We are looking for someone who is strong, flexible, adaptable, and positive . Team-Oriented Mindset You take responsibility, communicate openly, support your coworkers, and work together to find solutions. Process and Improvement Focus You understand the importance of consistent processes but are also willing to speak up when you see a better way of doing something.
