The mixing lead will lead by example by following all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and all other elite spice policies and procedures. Work shift is 6am - 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. Essential Functions The Mixing Lead should be on the floor monitoring day to day operations and available for employees to ask questions, and report any problems or concerns to their supervisor Responsible for verifying tool bags are returned in full and tool monitoring logs are completed. If tools are missing/need to be replaced, the lead is responsible for reporting this to their supervisor Responsible for training new regular or temporary employees on Mixer SOPs and how to correctly fill out paperwork Check, verify, and sign pre-operational checks and logs. Report any discrepancies to supervisor Second check all batch cards along with formulated ingredients before product is staged onto platforms. Accurately read codes, lot numbers, unit weight, number of units, and check labels to ensure the labels are correct Ensure samples of products are taken to quality control for approval prior to packing Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment. Evaluate mixer room for overall cleanliness after wash, complete swab test, and cleaning log Assist with enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices, report to supervisor any problems or concerns with operators not following GMPs Assist with production based on department staffing and business needs, this includes working as an operator or fork lift driver Examine ingredients for foreign debris, and check finished product for consistency.
