25/hr Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Field Operations Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of autonomous robotic systems at active solar construction sites. In this field-based role, you will work alongside installation crews, equipment operators, and site leadership to monitor robotic equipment, support daily operations, resolve basic system issues, and help maintain production uptime. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, comfortable working outdoors, and eager to learn emerging robotic technologies. Key Responsibilities Perform and document pre-start inspections of robotic systems and equipment Assist with robot deployment, setup, startup, operation, relocation, and shutdown Monitor robotic equipment for safe operation, performance, alarms, and fault conditions Use HMIs, tablets, laptops, and monitoring software to clear approved errors and restart systems Perform basic troubleshooting, system resets, and approved recovery procedures Replace approved consumable or field-serviceable components Support customer operators and installation crews during daily robotic operations Help maintain proper sequencing between robotic activities and construction work Verify that crews follow approved robotic work processes and safety procedures Track production data, equipment status, operational metrics, and technical issues Document corrective actions and escalate unresolved problems through established support channels Participate in daily safety meetings, job hazard analyses, and robot-specific safety activities Stop work and notify site leadership when unsafe conditions exist Complete training to operate robotic equipment, including robotic arms, as required Required Qualifications Basic mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills Ability to learn robotic systems, software interfaces, and operating procedures Comfortable using tablets, laptops, digital reporting tools, and monitoring software Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with field crews Understanding of construction-site operations and safe work practices Ability to work outdoors in active solar construction environments Ability to walk extensively, bend, stand, and perform physical work throughout the shift Willingness to travel up to 75% Willingness to work on active construction sites and follow changing project schedules Reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently in the field Required Personal Protective Equipment Candidates must be able to wear and use: Hard hat Safety glasses High-visibility Level 2 vest Work gloves Steel-toe or safety-toe boots Why Join This Opportunity?
