Brockport, NY Shifts Available:
2nd shift: 3pm-11pm, Mon-Fri (Overtime every other Saturday during peak season)
Pay:
$18.65-20.65/hr (depending on shift differential)

Temp to Hire Opportunity (conversion for high performers after approximately 3 months) Position Overview As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating, adjusting, and maintaining production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality packaging operations. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Machine Operation & Maintenance Set up and operate the corrugated box caser or Poly‑Form/Fill Bagger and radial scale system according to company and manufacturer specifications. Perform machine changeovers based on production schedules. Troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments to keep equipment running efficiently. Assist shift mechanics with major repairs when required. Ensure all processes meet food safety and quality standards. Quality Assurance & Compliance Verify accurate packaging, weights, and labels throughout production. Maintain strict adherence to HACCP, SQF, and other food safety requirements. Document quality checks and production performance as required. Safety & Efficiency Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area. Meet established performance, quality, and efficiency goals. Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment issues. Qualifications & Skills Mechanical & Troubleshooting Ability Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to adjust, maintain, and troubleshoot machinery. Competence using hand tools for repairs and adjustments. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 lbs frequently (and up to 100 lbs occasionally with assistance). Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment. Work Environment Comfortable working in conditions that may be noisy, dusty, hot, humid, or wet. Ability to work safely around chemicals, solvents, and moving mechanical parts. Education & Reliability High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong work ethic, problem‑solving skills, and consistent attendance are essential. Datrose is an equal opportunity employer.
