The Helper - Wet Machine (Stacker) is responsible for removing and stacking wet laps of fiber material from the wet machine roll. This individual must properly follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that quality and production standards are met. The Helper-Wet Machine is required to comply with all safety, production, quality requirements and standards, record all production data as required, and understand and follow all plant policies. Removing, without damage, a formed wet lap (of any dimensions, within required specifications) from the Wet Machine making roll. Stacking wet laps (interleafing with press cloths, when required) in a straight and square manner; and in an undamaged condition. Recognizing, pulling all defects for re-use. Reporting such defects to the Machine Tender. Assisting in all phases of set-ups, wash-ups and minor maintenance, to prevent unnecessary downtime and ensure top quality, clean start-ups. Be able to work with a partner as a team in order to properly remove laps from roll. Operate all equipment and carry out all procedures in a safe and controlled manner. Being responsible for the general housekeeping of the Wet Machine area. Perform various other duties as assigned based on allowable time and requirements.
