Job Description
Put Your Woodworking Skills to Work Building the Foundation of Premium Furniture. Are you a skilled manufacturing professional who takes pride in quality work, operating equipment, and producing parts with precision? Stickley is seeking a Woodworking Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Manlius, NY. In this role, you will operate woodworking equipment to prepare quality materials and components that become part of premium furniture built to last for generations. What You'll Do Operate rough mill woodworking equipment to prepare lumber and furniture components Identify and grade wood species including Cherry, Mahogany, Oak, Maple, Birch, and veneers according to Stickley standards Read and interpret production tickets, drawings, and work instructions Set up machines and jobs efficiently to support production goals Inspect materials and parts for quality, accuracy, and proper specifications Perform basic machine maintenance and complete required maintenance records Assist with material handling and off-bearing as needed Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily production needs What You'll Bring Previous experience operating woodworking, manufacturing, or production machinery Ability to identify wood species and make quality grading decisions Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and production documents Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn equipment operation Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Dependability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic Why Work at Stickley?
