Summary A Seasonal Embroidery Associate is an entry level position that helps customers find merchandise and purchase products in store. Basic duties include assisting customers as needed, ensuring the store is appropriately merchandised, and assisting customers through the personalization process that is the key to the Bunnies By The Bay Experience inside FAO Schwarz. This position will also help to complete embroideries using an industrial embroidery machine. This position reports to the FAO Store Manager.

Responsibilities Retail Sales:

Deliver and lead 24/7 24 carrot customer service from greeting, product teaching, selling, gift wrap, personalization service and cashiering. Help customers with brand and product questions and drive sales through engagement, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge. Perform transactions with debit and credit cards and guide customers through the personalization process. Greet customers when they walk into the area, building rapport through conversation and honest recommendations. Assist in maintaining merchandising plans based on planograms. Collaborate with fellow team members to keep the sales floor area clean and always organized.

Embroidery:

Complete embroideries on an industrial machine with confidence on a variety of different products such as plush toys and stockings. Collaborate with fellow embroidery team members to keep embroidery request queue in order and completed in a timely manner. Qualifications Familiarity with POS (point of sale) systems and the ability to learn new technologies. A minimum of 1 year of relevant retail experience is required, preferably specialty retail. Experience with an Embroidery or Sewing Machine is not required but preferred. Outstanding customer service skills, with the ability to actively listen to customers and understand their shopping wants and needs. Ability to seamlessly upsell. Cheerful working attitude. Must have excellent communication skills in the written and verbal format. Must possess strong problem solving and organizational skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Proven ability to work in a team or single environment with good interpersonal skills. Physical Requirements/Work Environment (if applicable): Frequently is required to stand and move about work space. Sitting is not permitted on the shop floor. Frequently required to stoop or kneel and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee works in a retail environment where the sound level varies depending on traffic flow.
