Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking Manufacturing Operators for a contract opportunities in Skaneateles, NY.
  • 3 month possible temp to perm contract positions
SHIFT:
1st Shift
  • $20.00/hr. (06:30

  • Friday) 2nd Shift Part Time
  • $21.40/hr. (2:55 PM
  • 11:25 PM Sat & Sun) 2nd Shift Full Time
  • $21.40/hr. (2:55 PM
  • 11;25 PM Monday
  • Friday) 3rd Shift
  • $22.00/hr. (10:15 PM
  • 6:45 AM Sunday
  • Thursday)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs some (up to all) of the following tasks: checking measurements, performing die adjustments, screening, performing visual inspections, cleaning equipment and area, making labels, bagging and tagging rolls, palletizing, using batch trace, wrapping/moving finished product, monitoring process, completing changeovers, updating batch boards, discarding scrap, operating forklift, creating/maintaining/verifying documentation, and cover other operators to allow for breaks. Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have basic computer skills, basic math skills, the ability to read and understand job instructions, and basic knowledge of tools. Must be able to write legibly and use a numbering system. Must be able to operate forklift. Must understand and obey all safety rules and be able to perform all job tasks in a safe and timely manner. Must be willing to work overtime on weekends and off shift to cover absentees and vacations on other shifts. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Minimum score of Silver on the Career Readiness Certificate is required Industrial/Mechanical experience and knowledge of extrusion preferred.
Physical / Safety
Requirements Requires walking, lifting a minimum of 35 lbs., lifting above head, bending, twisting, pushing, stretching, squatting, pulling, reaching, standing, climbing, and carrying. Will work around heat and fumes. Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends Use of hands and fingers to manipulate office equipment is required Position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
EDUCATION
Accredited High School diploma or equivalent required.
