Job Title:
Machine Operator Job Description As a Machine Operator, you will safely set up, operate, and monitor converting machinery and equipment to meet customer and production goals. You will ensure materials are correctly loaded, adjust settings, and calibrate equipment for optimal performance. Responsibilities Set up and operate converting machinery to meet production goals. Monitor production processes, inspect and test materials and equipment. Verify and track materials for inventory and work in progress. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance. Train and guide machine assistants and new crew members. Maintain organization and cleanliness of machinery and work areas. Adhere to safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Complete necessary documentation for internal and external use. Collaborate with departments to coordinate production activities. Essential Skills Experience in production and machine operation. High School Diploma or GED required. 2-4 years' experience in a related field. Exceptional time management and organizational skills. Effective communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects. Proactive with sound judgment and decision-making skills. Self-confident and self-motivated. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work primarily in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, requiring hearing protection, safety shoes, and vision protection. Be prepared for exposure to non-toxic smells, airborne dust, high noise levels, and hot/humid conditions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Walden, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
