Pay:

$19.50-$23.00 per hour, based on experience

Monday-Thursday, 5:45 a.m.-3:15 p.m.; Friday, 5:45 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Position Summary The Machine Solder Lead operates electromechanical equipment used in electronic circuit board assembly and provides day-to-day leadership for the Selective and Wave Solder cell. This position leads by example, ensures quality and productivity standards are met, maintains equipment and processes, and supports employees in achieving production goals. Key Responsibilities Planning and Leadership

• Lead by example with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and dependable attendance.
• Review all products within the Selective and Wave Solder cell and update production schedules daily.
• Prioritize assemblies based on due dates, process complexity, and direction from the Production Manager.
• Verify manufacturing order quantities and ensure jobs are completed in a single batch unless otherwise directed.
• Program soldering equipment to meet

acceptability standards.

• Ensure machine programs are accurate and ready for second-shift production.
• Monitor cell output and provide daily order-status updates to the Production Manager.
• Accurately forecast cell output within a half-day.
• Coordinate with other cell leaders to maintain production schedules and support 100% on-time delivery.
• Communicate staffing requirements to the Production Manager and assist with appropriate staffing.
• Coordinate daily with the Assembly Supervisor to plan workflow and staffing requirements for Wave Solder operations. Continuous Improvement and Quality
• Develop technical skills and provide training to cell employees as needed.
• Continuously improve quality throughout the machine soldering processes.
• Report quality concerns to the Production and Quality Managers.
• Monitor rejected boards to identify trends and take corrective action.
• Contact Maintenance or Machine Repair when equipment issues cannot be resolved within 30 minutes.
• Monitor and document new assembly issues.
• Perform scheduled light maintenance on ERSA and Wave Solder equipment as needed.
• Recommend and implement process improvements. Production
• Assist employees with production order verification and machine startups.
• Conduct time studies, document run times, and communicate target production times to employees.
• Monitor employee performance against established production targets.
• Ensure rejected lots are properly sorted by the responsible cell.
• Initiate downtime logs when production stops or quality falls below acceptable levels.
• Identify and quarantine defective product to prevent further processing and ensure proper containment.
• Verify that all products are properly tagged with job cards and that shop travelers are completed accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Housekeeping
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work cell.
• Participate in weekly cell inspections with the Production Manager. Interpersonal Skills
