Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Extrusion Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion machinery used in plastics production, ensuring high-quality output and efficient processes. Your expertise will help us deliver precision-engineered products that meet strict quality standards. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion machines to specifications. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on extrusion equipment, including programmable logic controllers. Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement instruments and dimensional measurement tools to ensure products meet design tolerances and quality standards. Handle materials safely and efficiently, utilizing forklift and warehouse experience for materials handling and inventory management. Document production data accurately, including measurements, machine settings, and process parameters for traceability. Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a safe working environment; report any safety concerns or equipment issues promptly. Assist in assembly processes when required, utilizing hand tools and machining skills to support overall manufacturing operations. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge and extrusion machinery. Proficiency in troubleshooting. Ability to perform precision measurements using measurement instruments for quality control purposes. Knowledge of safety protocols related to industrial equipment operation and materials handling procedures. Basic math skills for setting machine parameters and calculating measurements accurately. Experience with hand tools, machining techniques, dimensional inspections, and assembly tasks within a manufacturing environment. Warehouse experience including forklift operation for efficient materials movement is preferred but not mandatory.
