Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Material Technician III to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient handling, storage, and movement of materials within our distribution center. Your expertise in warehouse operations, heavy equipment operation, and inventory management will ensure seamless shipping and receiving processes. The Material Technician III will oversee and operate the equipment used for open casting of urethane materials. This role requires advanced technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety within the production process Duties

Equipment Operation:
Operate and manage equipment for open urethane casting, ensuring precise and efficient production processes.
•
Supervision:
Lead and mentor Material Technicians I & II, providing guidance and training on best practices and safety protocols. Lead the shift to ensure KPIs are met.
•
Preparation:
Ensure molds and workstations are properly prepared for casting, with all necessary tools and that materials properly prepared and loaded into the machine.

Material Handling:
Use proper material handling techniques and equipment including safe operation of overhead hoists, forklifts, etc.
•
Mixing:
Accurately measure and mix urethane components according to specified formulas and ratios, ensuring consistency and quality.
•
Casting:
Perform and supervise the open casting of urethane into molds, ensuring uniform distribution and adherence to quality standards.
•
Curing:
Oversee the curing process, monitoring conditions to achieve optimal material properties and performance.
•
Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough inspections and tests on cast parts, identifying and addressing any defects or deviations from specifications.

Maintenance:
Perform and coordinate routine maintenance on casting equipment and molds to ensure operational efficiency and longevity.
•
Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of production processes, material usage, and quality control results, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Safety:
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.

Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. Skills Extensive experience with urethane casting or similar materials in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in operating and maintaining casting equipment. Previous forklift experience. Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with experience mentoring and training junior technicians. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Advanced knowledge of mixing ratios, chemical handling, and safety procedures. Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality. Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands. High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; additional technical training or certification in material science or a related field is a plus. Physical Requirement(s): Sit [10%], Stand [90%], Lift [Up to 50+ lbs.], Walk, Bend, Stoop, Reach, Push & Pull, and Finger/Hand dexterity. Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
