Lithographic Press Assistant (Second on crew)

Schedule:

2nd Shift — Mon-Th, 2:30 PM-12:00

AM Focus:

Support the Lead Pressman on a large, complex sheetfed offset press to ensure quality, uptime, and safety. Key responsibilities Review job tickets and department instructions to confirm correct materials and adherence to specifications. Install/remove printing and coating blankets. Pack plate and blanket cylinders to required machine and paperboard specifications. Adjust double-sheet detectors, side guides, headstops, and gripper fingers. Track and refill offset spray powder as needed. Retrieve, hang, and remove printing plates. Perform additional pressroom tasks as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 1 year operating a multi-color offset, flexo, or gravure press, or experience as an assistant/Second Pressman on a multi-color offset crew. Ability to read and write, with basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), including fractions and decimals. Strong attention to detail; initiative; ability to conduct careful inspections and stay focused amid distractions. Accurate color vision. High school education.
