Job Title:

1st Shift - Water Saw Operator

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK OVERTIME
Summary:

Cut granite stone slabs to geometry specified on shop drawings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Use overhead crane to load stone slabs onto Saw Table
  • Accurately read and understand shop drawings and job specific paperwork.
  • Measure, mark and cut slabs to specifications on shop drawings (to a tolerance of 1/16 of an inch.)
  • Utilizes tape measure to accurately measure and mark work before cutting.
  • Use touch screen monitor to interface with pendant to manipulate machinery movements.
  • Manually remove excess material from saw table and discard into designated dumpster.
  • Use overhead crane as well as buddy lifts to remove cut stone from saw table.
  • Communicate job progress when transitioning between shifts/operators.
  • At the end of the day and various times throughout the day will clean the work areas he has worked in to ensure cleanliness and safe work conditions are maintained.
  • Will perform minor maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safe and effective operation
  • Must be able to work in a wet environment.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Apply for this Position
