Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Extrusion Winder to join our night shift team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion winding equipment to produce high-quality plastic products. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, proper material handling, and adherence to safety and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment where precision, mechanical aptitude, and proactive problem-solving are essential for success.
Schedule:
2-2-3 Rotating Schedule 7PM-7AM Responsibilities Operate extrusion winding machinery to produce consistent, high-quality plastic extrusions according to specifications. Monitor machine performance, make adjustments as needed, and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure product dimensions meet standards. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment, ensuring proper storage and movement of raw materials and finished goods. Perform routine maintenance on equipment including press brake machines, CNC lathes, and other fabrication tools to maintain optimal operation. Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency. Document production data accurately, complete shift reports, and communicate any operational concerns or maintenance needs to supervisors. Experience Prior experience working in plastics extrusion or plastics blow molding manufacturing environments is highly desirable. Hands-on knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used for automation and machine control. Familiarity with CNC machinery, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and hand tools for fabrication and assembly tasks. Warehouse experience including materials handling with forklifts is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments. Experience with quality inspection techniques using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers. Understanding of lean manufacturing practices and safety protocols in a fast-paced production setting. Pay:
$18.00 per hour
