Starting pay rate is based on experience: $22.46-$29.14 per hour + $2.00 per hour shift differential for night shift. • employees are eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus• In this role, you'll take ownership of a vinyl siding extrusion line and play a key part in producing high-quality siding products that meet customer expectations. This is a hands-on, skilled position where you'll work with equipment, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve performance. The schedule will be a 12-hour shift; either 7:00am-7:00pm or 7:00pm-7:00am.

Responsible for set-ups and teardowns of extrusion line which includes installation of dies, changing of dies, and operating the line Responsible for starting up and obtaining quality finished products Trouble shoots and monitors extrusion lines Produces quality product at the lowest cost Responsible for equipment required to package finished product Assist and lead personnel assigned to extrusion line Continuously observes quality level of products being produced and makes necessary adjustments required to meet VSI certification Uses required company instruments or equipment such as micrometers, precision rules, pliers, screwdrivers, vise grips, "C" clamps, and fixtures Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete production records including production rates, amounts produced, scrap amount, set-up, and downtime incurred Performs required general material handling, preparation of packaging, and other duties as may be assigned to maintain production Maintain safety standards as posted in work areas Maintains good housekeeping practices to ensure the area is clean at all timesESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Prior hands-on extrusion experience Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Good communication skills Good math and problem-solving skills Able to learn and retain product knowledgePHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to hold, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must lift, carry and/or move up to 100 lbs. frequently. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. In addition, mobility to cover 2 facilities (North & South Plant) is required.WORK ENVIROMENT
This position works in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Noise level commensurate with large machinery. Ear and eye protection must be worn at all times and steel toed shoes and long pants are required. Temperatures in the building, although maintained, can be affected by outside weather conditions. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US markets. The pay range is based on relevant market data in our lowest and highest geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, and skillset. Westlake is a total compensation company.
