Extrusion helper- will load the cardboard cores onto the machine

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist the shift supervisor in all aspects of production.
• Maintain accurate production and quality control records.
• Complete timely quality control checks
• Package product as required by the customer
• Alert supervisor of any problems on the line
• Assist in equipment or line adjustments
• Maintain an organized and sanitary work environment
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements and Skills:

• Detail-oriented
• Strong reading comprehension and basic math skills
• Ability to consistently lift/manipulate over 50 pounds
• Able to work independently
• Able to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks

Language Skills:

Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers.

Mathematical Skills:

Must have the ability to calculate measurements and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area and volume and be able to apply concepts of basic mathematics.

Reasoning Ability:

This associate must have the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and be able to make decisions in accordance with established procedures and policies. Also the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Computer Skills:

Basic ability to read and interact with a computer screen

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, and bend. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and talk or hear. The associate is often required climb/descend steps. The associate is frequently required to lift and/or manipulate up to 50 pounds, regularly required to lift and/or manipulate up to 75 pounds and often required to lift and/or manipulate over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required to this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety glasses, shoes that cover the entire foot are required when walking in the extrusion area. Heat resistant gloves are required when working with the heated plastic. steel toed shoes/boots are required
