Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in plastics extrusion processes. As an Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Experience with Flexible and Rigid PVC is a plus. Responsibilities Set up and operate extrusion machinery for the production of plastic components. Monitor the extrusion process to ensure product quality and consistency. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise. Conduct quality inspections using calipers and other measuring tools to verify product specifications. Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste through lean manufacturing practices. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes is advantageous. Proficient in using calipers and other measurement tools for quality inspection. Knowledge of plastics extrusion techniques and best practices. Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively in a manufacturing environment. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to enhance production efficiency. Experience working in a warehouse setting, including operating forklifts safely (certification preferred).
