$25.00-$27.00/hour Hire Sync is hiring an experienced Acme Gridley Setup Technician for a well-established precision manufacturing company in Euclid, OH. If you have strong Acme setup experience, enjoy working independently, and take pride in producing high-quality precision parts, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable manufacturer with a four-day workweek. In this role, you'll be responsible for complete machine setups from blueprint to finished part while ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the production process.
What You'll Do:
Set up and operate Acme Gridley multi-spindle screw machines Complete full machine setups from blueprint and part layout Install and adjust cams, gears, collets, pushers, tooling, and attachments Work with dovetail forms, floating shave tools, knee tools, knurling, tapping, thread rolling, accelerated reaming, recess, pick-off attachments, and other tooling Verify first-piece inspections using precision measuring equipment Read and interpret blueprints, job routings, and specifications Perform tooling changes, sharpening, and replacement as needed Tear down completed setups and prepare machines for future jobs Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas Assist and train team members when needed Support preventative maintenance efforts and report equipment issues
What We're Looking For:
Minimum of 3 years of Acme Gridley setup experience Ability to perform complete setups independently from blueprint to finished part Strong knowledge of screw machine tooling, attachments, cams, and gearing Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Commitment to producing quality work and maintaining a safe work environment Why Join Us?
