Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator for the Weekend Shift to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of industrial equipment and machinery to ensure efficient production processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, technical proficiency with CNC and automation systems, and a commitment to safety standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment while working on specialized machinery that supports high-quality production. Key responsibilities include setting up, operating, and maintaining complex machinery, interpreting technical drawings and production documents, and ensuring precision in measurements and fabrication processes. Your expertise will directly impact the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. Duties Operate CNC machining centers, including CNC lathes, milling machines, and stamping presses, ensuring adherence to specifications. Set up and calibrate equipment such as Fanuc controllers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), press brake machines, and flexo presses. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents to accurately produce parts within specified tolerances. Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measuring instruments; apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles. Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime; perform routine maintenance on machinery. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling tools; assist with packaging finished products for shipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards; follow shop math principles for accurate fabrication. Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks and support continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC machines (including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes), stamping presses, or similar manufacturing equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings. Familiarity with Fanuc controls, CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), and CNC programming. Experience with industrial troubleshooting, calibration, and precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers. Ability to read production documents accurately and apply shop math effectively. Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments; commitment to maintaining a safe workplace. Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience preferred; familiarity with assembly lines and packaging processes. Basic proficiency in SolidWorks or similar design software is advantageous. Valid forklift certification is desirable but not mandatory. This position offers an engaging work environment where your technical skills will be valued.
