CNC Position/Mastercam Description:

Mastercam Programming:

Create and refine complex 2D and 3D toolpaths using Mastercam for both milling and turning operations.

Machine Setup & Operation:

Set up and "prove out" new programs on the machine to ensure accuracy, minimize tool wear and machine efficiency.

Process Optimization:

Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and improve tool life through better programming strategies or tool selection.

Blueprint Interpretation:

Analyze technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to determine the best machining sequence.

Tooling & Fixturing:

Research and test work holding solutions as needed for day-to-day machining. Work with tooling suppliers to ensure best possible quality and tooling cost.

Training:

Once programming and tooling are established, train operators to execute programs with the proper feeds and speeds set up to maximize tool life and minimize cycle times.
