Real opportunities for advancement, training, and career growth. What's a typical day as a Machine Operator? You'll be: Operating baling equipment to compress and bind scrap materials. Monitoring machine performance and performing basic adjustments and routine maintenance. Ensuring work areas and equipment are clean, safe, and orderly. Moving scrap materials, placing scrap in the shredder, and monitoring equipment for jams. Weighing bales, tying off wire, and using a forklift to remove and load bales. Completing end-of-shift paperwork and notifying supervisors of any mechanical issues. Following safety standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Collecting scrap bins from different departments and performing other duties as assigned. This job might be an outstanding fit if you: Have a High School Diploma or GED. Possess basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Are able to work in a hot environment and handle inks and lubricants. Can frequently lift and carry 25 lbs. (and occasionally up to 50 lbs.). Demonstrate a team player mindset with a proactive "can do" attitude. Have basic computer and math skills, and can read basic English. Are able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, and lifting. Have flexible availability, including willingness to work overtime, weekends, or outside of normally scheduled hours as needed.
