Position Description -
Automatic Machine Operator II Company:
Quality Steel Corporation Reports to:
Department Manager Key Responsibilities :
Ensure Safety First, Safety Always, and meet or exceed Quality expectations. Inspect equipment to be utilized prior to shift start. Operate machinery to manufacturer's specifications, meeting time budgets for finished product. Control and adjust machine settings as required. Perform Quality Control. Visually inspect product for defects prior to conveyance. Report defects to Supervisor. Follow reporting and record-keeping procedures, and report issues to Supervisor. Maintain cleanliness of workstation and machine(s) utilized.
Experience:
Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, preferred. Weld experience preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work in various environmental conditions (heat, humidity, cold). Skilled in working with computer-operated and mechanical equipment. Ability to safely lift/move up to 60 lbs. Proficient in the use of hand tools. Ability to receive and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to work collaboratively with team members to accomplish departmental goals and to improve operations.
Education and Certification Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
