$17/hour Job Summary We're looking for a motivated and reliable individual for our shipping dept. This requires use of hand tools, and attention to detail as you are cutting belts to an exact length and attaching connection hardware to both ends of the belt. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing environment and be able to perform a variety of tasks including material handling, machine setup assistance, and quality control. This role is crucial to ensuring our production line runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities Material Handling and Preparation:
Assist in the staging and loading of raw material rolls onto the slitter machines. This includes safely operating a forklift to move materials.
Machine Support:
Aid the Slittery Operator with machine setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Quality Control (QC): Perform visual inspections of finished products, ensuring they meet specified standards and reporting any defects or inconsistencies.
Physical Labor:
Safely lift up to 50 pounds regularly, as required for moving materials, finished goods, and waste.
Warehousing and Inventory:
Assist with the organization of the warehouse, including putting away finished rolls and maintaining a clean work area.
Assembly and Packaging:
Help with the packaging of finished goods for shipment.
General Duties:
Follow all safety protocols and company policies. Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications Experience:
Previous experience in manufacturing , warehousing , assembly , or a similar production environment is highly valued.
Skills:
Experience with QC processes and safe forklift operation is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
Personal Attributes:
Must be a team player, dependable, and have a strong work ethic. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are also important.
Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $17.00 - $17.00
