Full Job Description Description:
Nemco Food Equipment is committed to the manufacturing and on-time delivery of these piece parts to the assembly operations with a very experienced staff of laborers who can operate a variety of work centers able to prepare and polish raw castings and components into quality parts. In this job, you will work in a production environment, continuously tending to machine. After an initial training period, productivity and quality requirements must be met. Durations of set-ups and run times will vary. Tasks require a moderate degree of eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Polishing of parts using burnishing tanks and/or sandblaster. Ability to keep an accurate count of inventory. Responsible for time management. If this job is as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have, or the initiative to learn the following: Ability to set up and operate metal finishing machinery. Ability to read blueprints and follow specific written instructions and procedures. Ability to keep the workspace clean and organized.
Relevant Work Experience:
Experience as a machine operator in a production environment is preferred.
Work Schedule:
This is a 3rd shift position. You will start on 1ast shift and after an initial training period, productivity and quality requirements must be met. Training is expected to last about 3 weeks, at which time you will move to 3rd shift. Sunday night - Friday morning (9:00pm - 5:00am; 8-hour shift 20 minute paid lunch) Subject to Change Occasional overtime is required
Requirements:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Standing:
Most tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.
Lifting:
Frequently lifting items weighing 5 lbs. to 10 lbs.; occasionally lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Walking:
Frequent walking short distances (less than 1/8 mile).
Carrying:
Occasional carrying bulky items weighing up to 50 lbs. short distances.
Pushing:
Use of manual hand truck and carts to occasionally move skids or parts short distances.
Pulling:
Use of manual hand truck and carts to occasionally move skids or parts short distances.
Bending:
Frequent bending is required to perform a variety of tasks.
Reaching:
Frequent reaching to load and unload parts from fixtures in machine, tubs, carts, or pallets.
Handling:
Frequent handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 10 lbs.
Gripping:
Frequent gripping of parts while operating the burnisher.
