Job Description

Electrolock is a manufacturer of high quality film products for the aerospace and advanced composites industry. Applicants should be motivated self-starters and comfortable working in a production based, autonomous environment around heavy slitting equipment. Experience working with computers and mathematical data, minor data entry, and an understanding of basic mechanical principles is required. Specific slitting experience is not required. Applicants must be comfortable with rotating responsibilities from machine operation, packaging and shipping, some cleaning and data entry/quality control. Must be a team player capable of covering the necessary details to get the job done right.
Position Summary:
Slit large rolls down to smaller rolls in various dimensions according to customer specifications.

Appropriately understand and follow the plant's OHSA (Occupational Health, Safety and Environment) and Quality systems to maintain a safe workplace and ensure quality product.
Job Specifics:
  • Perform set-up and operate slitting equipment to produce product according to quality and productivity requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Provide training as required
  • Provide communication on a daily basis with management, leadmen, maintenance, shift personnel, etc.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards of slitter and the surrounding area
  • Perform packing and material handling tasks as required
  • Follow all company safety rules and procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Good mechanical ability
  • Demonstrate ability to work well under pressure
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • General knowledge of computers preferred
  • Ability to use gauges and calipers
  • Good math skills
  • Able to pay attention to detail
