Your primary responsibility will be to set up, operate, and maintain high-precision machinery to produce quality metal components efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities Set up and operate advanced machinery such as CNC laser cutting systems, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, plasma cutters, and press brake machines to produce components according to technical specifications. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to ensure precise machining and fabrication processes. Program CNC equipment using appropriate software to optimize machine performance and product quality. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency. Utilize precision measuring instruments and measurement techniques for quality control inspections during and after production runs. Adhere strictly to safety protocols, safety standards in production environments, and proper machine operation procedures. Perform metal fabrication tasks including welding, forming, sheet metal cutting, and assembly with attention to detail. Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to support machine setup, adjustments, and minor repairs. Document production data accurately for process improvement initiatives and quality assurance. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality. Skills Extensive experience operating a wide range of manufacturing machinery including CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brakes, forming machines, and welding equipment. Proficiency in CNC programming and understanding of G-code or other relevant programming languages. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Skilled in the use of precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring instruments for quality control. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for precise machining specifications. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus. Ability to operate shop math confidently for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks. Understanding of safety standards applicable in manufacturing environments; committed to maintaining a safe workspace. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues efficiently. Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
