Job Description
Safe Staffing of Ohio is hiring Extrusion Machine Operators for a manufacturing facility in Butler County, Ohio. We are looking for dependable, safety-minded individuals who enjoy hands-on manufacturing work. Previous extrusion experience is helpful, but not required for entry-level candidates. Candidates hired into a trainee position will learn the extrusion process on the job and have the opportunity to advance as they gain experience. This position involves monitoring products coming off extrusion lines, checking quality, packing finished products, and learning how to safely operate and monitor extrusion equipment. What You'll Be Doing Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy Stack, pack, label, and prepare finished products Perform basic measurements and quality checks Read basic production drawings, specifications, and work instructions Enter production information into a computer system Keep accurate production and quality records Monitor assigned extrusion lines and report production or quality problems Assist with basic equipment inspections and preventative maintenance More experienced operators may also: Monitor and troubleshoot the extrusion process Perform hourly dimensional, weight, cosmetic, and quality checks Document machine/process settings throughout the shift Complete beginning- and end-of-shift line inspections Communicate line conditions to the incoming operator Monitor multiple extrusion lines Assist with identifying and correcting production issues What We're Looking For Basic computer skills Ability to read and follow written work instructions Comfortable using basic math and measurements Strong attention to detail Dependable attendance and punctuality Willingness to learn new equipment and processes Ability to work as part of a team Previous manufacturing, machine operation, plastics, or extrusion experience is a plus, but not required for trainee-level positions Why This Is a Great Opportunity Convenient 12 hour shifts, where every other weekend is a 3 day weekend Both Day and Night Shifts Are Available Starting pay for operators in training is $19.00/hr. with a $2.00/hr. shift differential Experienced Operators - Pay based on experience If you have a strong work ethic and want to learn a skilled manufacturing position, we are willing to train the right person.
