Responsibilities include:
- Set up and operate specialized production machinery ...
- Read and follow detailed job orders and production specifications
- Make machine adjustments for setup, quality, and production accuracy
- Monitor production runs to ensure efficiency and quality standards
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments as needed
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
- Pull, inspect, and review product samples throughout production
- Lead or direct a small crew during production runs
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work area What We're Looking For Qualified candidates should have:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Machine operating experience in a skilled production environment
- Experience with machine setup, adjustments, troubleshooting, or changeovers
- Ability to read job orders, work instructions, and basic machine documentation
- Intermediate math skills
- Experience using rulers, calipers, or other measuring devices
- Ability to use hand tools for setup and adjustment
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to problem-solve in real time
- Strong attendance and reliability
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to lead, direct, or support a small production crew Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate may come from a background in:
- Printing or bindery operations
- Packaging or converting
- High-speed manufacturing
- CNC or precision machine operation
- Skilled machine setup, troubleshooting, and changeover environments
- Industrial maintenance or mechanically intensive manufacturing environments Candidates with strong transferable mechanical, production, and troubleshooting skills are encouraged to apply.
Schedule details include:
- Training conducted on day shift (7a-7p)
- Permanent placement on night shift (7p-7a)
- Overtime may be available or required based on production needs Compensation and Benefits
