Shift:
Mon- Fri 2:30 to 11 pm We are seeking a dependable Machine Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. This position is responsible for processing metal products according to customer specifications, safely operating production and material-handling equipment, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Job Responsibilities
- Set up and safely operate production equipment according to work-order specifications.
- Operate forklifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
- Pull, inspect, and verify materials before processing.
- Process customer orders according to written specifications and work instructions.
- Measure and inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality requirements.
- Operate scales and accurately record measurements and production information.
- Identify and separate scrap or non-conforming materials.
- Assist with packaging finished materials.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain measuring equipment in proper working condition.
- Provide feedback to supervisors regarding machine performance and product quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all safety, quality, and work procedures.
- Assist with LEAN and quality initiatives.
- Help train other employees when needed.
Qualifications Required:
- Ability to read and write.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Preferred:
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience, particularly within the metals industry.
- Previous forklift experience.
- Experience using handheld measuring tools.
- Basic computer skills.
