Volt is immediately hiring Industrial Crating & Shipping Technicians in Mansfield, OH 44906 As a Industrial Crating & Shipping Technician, you will: Build custom wooden crates, skids, pallets, and shipping containers for large industrial equipment. Measure materials and perform precise cuts using saws, drills, planers, and other industrial woodworking tools. Safely move, position, and secure heavy products using forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, shipping instructions, bills of materials, and work orders. Prepare products for domestic and international shipment according to customer and engineering requirements. Inspect completed crates, packaging, and securing methods to ensure safe transport and regulatory compliance. Monitor inventory levels of lumber, packaging materials, and shipping supplies. Maintain accurate records and a safe, organized work environment. Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards. This is a full time opportunity.

Schedule:

6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

• Some days work hours may adjust to 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM The ideal candidate will have: High School Diploma or GED. At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, carpentry, construction, or industrial production. Ability to read blueprints, drawings, measurements, and layout specifications. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Ability to obtain forklift and overhead crane certifications within 90 days of hire. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an active manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

Experience operating overhead cranes, hoists, or rigging equipment. Forklift certification or prior forklift operation experience. Industrial carpentry, framing, pallet building, or custom crating experience. Experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse, or heavy equipment manufacturing environments. Interest in advancing into skilled manufacturing or production roles.

Pay Rate:

$20.00 to $20.21 per hour.
