Job Description

We are currently looking for a Filling and Packaging Operator to join us at our facility in Orville, OH. The Filling and Packaging Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient filling, labeling, packaging, and inspection of industrial refinishing products in accordance with established procedures and quality standards. This role operates packaging equipment, completes production documentation, and supports daily operations to ensure products are prepared for storage and shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Fill, label, and package products according to established guidelines, specifications, and safety standards. Complete job sheets and production documentation accurately, ensuring correct counts and traceability. Attach identification labels and markings to finished products, including lot numbers and shipping information. Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products to verify compliance with quality and packaging specifications. Set up, operate, clean, and tear down packaging equipment as required. Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to ensure consistent product quality and performance. Stop or reset equipment when malfunctions occur, clear minor jams, and report mechanical issues to supervision. Remove finished products from packaging lines and separate non-conforming materials. Operate powered pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment through regular housekeeping activities. Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including reporting hazards, incidents, and near misses.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and work orders. Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions accurately. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. Ability to lift, move, and handle materials in a manufacturing environment. Ability to work safely in a production setting and comply with all safety requirements.
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience in a manufacturing, filling, packaging, or production environment. Knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and continuous improvement practices. Experience operating packaging or production equipment. Powered pallet jack experience. Familiarity with ISO quality systems and documentation requirements.
