Job Description
Position Overview The Assembly & Packing Associate performs light assembly and packing of metal stamped parts in a manufacturing environment. This is an entry-level role — no prior manufacturing experience is required, and on-the-job training is provided. This position works in close proximity to stamping presses, automated equipment, and other production machinery, and always requires strict adherence to safety protocols. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform light assembly of metal stamped parts and components following simple visual instructions or examples Visually inspect parts for obvious defects and set aside/report any concerns to a Lead or Supervisor Pack finished parts into boxes, bins, or containers according to packaging instructions Label, count, and stack packaged parts as directed Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards (5S standards) Follow all safety rules, including PPE requirements and staying clear of designated machine zones Report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or quality problems to a Lead or Supervisor Move between assembly or packing stations as production needs require Communicate with team members and supervisors about production status Perform other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities Manages 3-6 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 20-50 employees across the Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, Engineering, Production, Shipping/Receiving, and Purchasing Departments. Also directly supervises 2-5 non-supervisory employees. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
