JOB SUMMARY:
The Labeler is responsible for accurately labeling products, materials, and packaging in accordance with company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This position ensures that all labels are applied correctly, legibly, and in the proper location to maintain product identification, traceability, and compliance. The Labeler works as part of the production or packaging team and plays an important role in maintaining quality control and efficient workflow within the facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Apply labels to products, containers, cartons, and packaging materials using manual methods or automated labeling equipment. Review work orders, product specifications, and labeling instructions to ensure correct label type, placement, and information are used. Verify that labels contain accurate information such as product name, lot or batch number, barcodes, expiration dates, and regulatory information. Inspect completed products to ensure labels are properly aligned, legible, and securely attached. Remove incorrect or damaged labels and replace them according to quality procedures. Operate and maintain labeling equipment, including label printers, dispensers, or automated labeling machines. Replenish labeling supplies such as labels, ink, adhesives, and packaging materials as needed. Maintain accurate records of labeling activities, including production counts and quality checks. Follow all company policies related to quality assurance, safety, sanitation, and operational procedures. Required Skills and Qualifications Ability to read and understand basic instructions, work orders, and product labeling requirements. Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with labeling standards. Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining consistency and quality. Basic problem-solving skills to identify and report labeling errors or equipment issues. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a production environment. Basic math and counting skills for tracking quantities and verifying product counts. Work Environment Manufacturing, warehouse, packaging, or distribution facility. Work may involve conveyor systems, packaging equipment, or labeling machines.
