Job Description

1st Shift. Monday
  • Friday 7am
  • 3pm (optional schedule options: 6am
  • 2pm, 5am
  • 1pm) Hourly rate: $17.

JOB SUMMARY
This position is directly responsible for the quality and on time production of labels for our customers
PRIMARY DUTIES
  • Verify work orders for accuracy & completeness including core size, wind direction, quantity, quantity per roll.
  • Provide samples in the job packet
  • Enter all work data into the computer and verify data with printed report
  • Inspect finished product for quality or defects by comparing product to sample card
  • Assist in training new personnel as requested
  • Operate and monitor rewind machine while running
  • Troubleshoot machine and perform some preventative maintenance tasks
  • Complete work in a timely fashion on schedule in order to meet our customers demands
  • Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High School diploma/Equivalent (or in process of earning), Basic math and computer skills
Preferred:
Experience running and providing maintenance to machines
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
¬ Ability to read a ruler ¬ Good hand eye coordination and color perception ¬ Strong attention to detail ¬ Ability to read, write, and understand English ¬ Familiarity with computers and data entry ¬ Strong mechanical aptitude ¬ Problem solving skills needed to assess production problems and determine the appropriate course of action to produce a quality label and meet customer demands ¬ Communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels within the production team.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
The ability to lift 50lbs. The ability to push, pull, or flip up to 150lbs. with or without accommodations. Standing for long periods of time, up to 10 hours at a time. Ability to cope with constantly changing environment. Constantly working under deadlines to meet customer demands. The ability to read work instructions and follow directions with little to no errors.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working environment is contained to a manufacturing environment and office areas. Occasionally, may encounter odors, noise, fumes, mechanical hazards, and moving objects.
