Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Filler Operator The Filler Operator shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Safely and efficiently operating filling equipment to package products according to company quality and safety standards. Operate, monitor, and adjust filling machines during production runs. Setup equipment, perform changeovers, and complete line clearances as needed. Ensure correct product, packaging materials, and labeling are used for each run. Inspect filled containers for quality assurance (weight, seal integrity, coding, etc.) Maintain accurate production records and downtime logs. Perform routine cleaning and basic equipment maintenance. Follow all safety procedures and report any unsafe conditions immediately. Work collaboratively with team members to meet or exceed production targets. Participate in training, team meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Technical Skills:
Ability to work well with others. Basic computer skills. Ability to work in a safe and clean area. Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner. Ability to perform basic mathematics. Ability to fill out daily written reports.
Required Soft Skills:
Ability to work without direct supervision. Excellent verbal communication skills. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Coachable and willing to learn. Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions.
Physical Requirements:
(S)he may be required to work in outside weather for the duration of the shift in the staging and loading of trailers. May be required to stack and unstack items weighing 50 pounds from a height of approximately seven feet to the ground and back continually for the duration of the shift. Must be able to work in both very hot (more than 100 degrees) and very cold (less than 20 degrees below zero) and in a very wet and humid environment for extended periods of time.
Education, Certifications and Experience:
The following is required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Prior experience in manufacturing or food/beverage production

The Filler Operator is an hourly position and reports to the Supervisor or Plant Manager. Working overtime, evenings, and holidays may be required.
