• Job Title: Woodshop Saw Machine Operator
• Job Description
• This role focuses on operating saw machines and other woodworking equipment in a production woodshop to cut, shape, and finish wood materials for frames, signs, décor, and store fixtures. You will build and assemble products according to specifications, ensure quality standards, and help maintain a safe, efficient, and organized work environment.
• Responsibilities
• + Operate saw machines and other woodworking equipment, including sanders, routers, and cutting machines, in a safe and efficient manner.

+ Cut and shape wood materials used for frames, signs, décor, and store fixtures according to specified measurements and designs.

+ Build and assemble wood products according to detailed specifications, work orders, or plans.

+ Measure materials accurately using appropriate tools to ensure precise cuts and proper fit.

+ Read and interpret work orders, plans, or drawings to understand job requirements and production priorities.

+ Sand, stain, paint, or otherwise finish wood pieces to meet quality and aesthetic standards.

+ Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and defects, and make adjustments or corrections as needed.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including regular removal of scrap and debris.

+ Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating machinery and handling materials.

+ Support general labor and production tasks in the woodshop, warehouse, or manufacturing areas as needed.

• Essential Skills
• + Ability to operate saw machines and basic woodworking equipment such as sanders, routers, and cutting machines.

+ Experience in general labor, manufacturing, warehouse, production, construction, or machine operation environments.

+ Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

+ Reliable transportation to consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts.

+ Ability to use hand and power tools commonly used in construction and woodworking.

+ Strong ability to measure materials accurately and follow detailed work orders or plans.

+ Attention to detail and ability to inspect products for quality and make necessary adjustments.

+ Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + Experience in construction or related trades, with familiarity in working with wood and building components. + Comfort working in a manufacturing or woodshop setting with production deadlines. + Ability to work extended hours when needed to meet high production demand. + Basic understanding of finishing techniques such as sanding, staining, and painting wood surfaces.

• Work Environment
• This position is based in a woodshop and related production areas that operate on weekday shifts.

One primary schedule runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and another runs Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Due to high demand, both shifts may extend until 6:00 p.m. or until work is completed. You will work around woodworking machinery such as saws, sanders, routers, and cutting equipment, with regular exposure to wood dust, noise, and production activity. The environment is similar to a manufacturing or warehouse setting, where safety procedures, proper use of hand and power tools, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace are essential.

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.
• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $15.

00 - $15.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
