Summary Description:

The Clansman Operator is responsible for safely operating the Clansman equipment to move and handle gating and castings throughout the foundry production process. This position requires the employee to operate the equipment safely, maintain production flow, and follow all company safety and quality procedures.

Essential Functions:

Operate the Clansman equipment to move gating, and castings. Manually move castings and gating with hand tools. Safely position and move product as directed by the supervisor. Monitor the product and equipment while operating the Clansman. Keep production moving efficiently and safely. Follow instructions from the Production Supervisor and Lead. Maintain awareness of employees, equipment, and other hazards in the work area. Perform basic cleaning of the Clansman and surrounding work area. Report equipment problems, damage, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Assist with other general foundry duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in a iron casting foundry environment with exposure to heat, dust, noise, moving equipment, heavy materials, and hot metal. Employees are required to follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
