Job Description

  • Job Title: Assembler
  • Job Description
  • This role focuses on assembling and building complete sensor products from pre-fabricated materials in a clean, calm, and spacious production environment.

You will follow detailed work instructions, perform mechanical and electronic assembly tasks, and contribute to a line-based production process that emphasizes quality, safety, and teamwork. This is a day-shift position with regular weekday hours and frequent opportunities for overtime.

  • Responsibilities
  • + Perform full product builds of sensors using pre-fabricated materials, ensuring accuracy and consistency in every unit produced.

+ Follow written work instructions on an iPad to assemble individual components and complete products according to established procedures.

+ Carry out mechanical assembly of product shells and boxes, including fitting, fastening, and securing parts as required.

+ Perform soldering and wire bonding tasks to assemble and connect electronic components safely and correctly.

+ Use small hand tools and power tools to complete assembly, adjustment, and finishing tasks in a precise and efficient manner.

+ Conduct basic electronic assembly tasks, including wiring, PCB-related work, and small parts assembly when needed.

+ Package finished products according to specified standards, ensuring proper labeling, protection, and presentation for shipment.

+ Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and schematics in English to guide assembly and quality checks.

+ Support quality inspection activities by visually checking parts and assemblies for defects, alignment, and workmanship.

+ Adhere to production safety standards at all times, including proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective practices.

+ Collaborate effectively in a team environment, communicating with coworkers and leads to maintain production flow and resolve issues.

+ Maintain a strong sense of urgency while working on the production line, meeting daily output goals without compromising quality.

+ Stand for extended periods during the shift, and work in both standing and seated areas as assigned.

+ Operate or assist with SMT machine operations as needed, following training and safety guidelines.

+ Contribute to a clean and organized work area by following 5S or similar housekeeping practices within the production line.

  • Essential Skills
  • + Prior production experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or similar environment.

+ Proficiency using hand tools safely and effectively in a production setting.

+ Demonstrated strong sense of urgency and ability to work efficiently to meet production targets.

+ Mechanical aptitude, including comfort working with mechanical components and assemblies.

+ Ability to read and follow work instructions in English, including step-by-step procedures and visual diagrams.

+ Ability to stand for the entire shift as needed, with flexibility to work in both standing and seated stations.

+ Comfort working up to 1015 hours of overtime per week when required.

+ Willingness to adhere to all production safety standards and company procedures.

+ Ability to collaborate well in a team environment and contribute positively to line-based production.

  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Experience with small parts assembly, particularly in electronics or precision products.

+ Prior experience reading and following detailed work instructions on digital devices such as iPads.

+ Electronic assembly experience, including wiring, PCB work, and basic electrical assembly tasks.

+ Soldering experience, including through-hole or surface-mount soldering and rework.

+ Familiarity with SMT (Surface Mount Technology) machine operation.

+ Experience reading blueprints and schematics for mechanical or electronic assemblies.

+ Experience in quality inspection, including visual inspection and basic measurement checks.

+ Previous experience in line-based production environments.

+ Comfort working with both mechanical and electrical components within the same product.

  • Work Environment
  • The role is based in a line-based production facility that is described as calm, quiet, very clean, and spacious, providing a comfortable and organized work setting.

You will work a day shift from Monday to Friday, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with the possibility of an adjusted shift from 5:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and occasional Saturday morning work from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. as needed. Employees are often offered 1015 hours of overtime each week, so comfort with extended hours is important. Work involves standing for most or all of the shift, although some areas offer seated positions depending on the station. You will use small hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and potentially SMT machines in a structured production line, following clear safety and production standards in a modern, well-maintained facility.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $18.

00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
