Canby, OR Salary:
$22 Local Canby company is looking to add a Machine Operator to their team. The ideal candidate will be looking for a long-term opportunity and is interested in working a swing shift. While previous machine operating experience is great, we are focused on finding the right fit. Duties and Responsibilities Operate production machines and make adjustments as needed. Be able to learn and get to the point Troubleshoot production machines as you learn and progress in the role. Perform equipment changeovers. Responsible for quality control, ensuring parts are within proper specifications and tolerances, and rejecting bad parts. Understand and follow SOC practices Interpret control charts and adjust when necessary to produce the product within specifications Reject the product when outside of specifications Follow all standard company procedures and job safety requirements Occasionally operate a forklift to maintain the raw material supply and stock Complete daily production logs Perform routine preventive maintenance non-production machine Communicate effectively with operators from other shifts to update on production issues Clean and maintain the work area Turn off/lock out equipment when not in use Experience, Qualities and Skills Previous machine operation experience is great, but not required Able to use measuring devices; calipers, micrometers, load testing equipment, and comparators. Someone who has worked a swing shift and is comfortable working those hours' Attention to detail Ability to work in a team environment. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Ability to multitask Basic computer skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Self-starter Ability to use computers and document information in Excel. Experience in manufacturing or production experience preferred but not required Advanced skills helpful in the following areas: CNC programming experience, experience using one or more of the following tools: lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, drill press, and vertical/horizontal cut-off saw. The ability to read and interpret blueprints. Schedule's Monday-Thursday OR Tuesday-Friday 4 PM-2:30 AM
MUST TRAIN ON DAY SHIFT
Mon-Thurs 6 AM- 4:30 PM Must be able to work OT when needed.
Pay:
