Global leader in the manufacturing and assembling of dental components, equipment, and tools. This Company is a market leader in their industry and because of their size and stature; they have multiple departments that typically need help on varying shifts. This position operates simple machinery for production parts and basic fabrication tasks within assigned area under close supervision. Works with clearly defined, established instructions and support from the Unit Specialist or trainer. The position is responsible for set-up and operation of secondary machinery and polish equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates simple machines within assigned area and under supervision: o Parts finishing o Deburring o Cleaning o Routing o Basic drill and tap work o Masking and/or racking parts to be painted Performs routine maintenance, including lubrication and cleaning. Safely and efficiently routes parts using material handling equipment. Inspects personal production, to achieve and maintain quality standards. Works collaboratively within the team to maintain a neat and organized work station. Achieves and maintains productivity standards, follows all safety guidelines, and maintains acceptable dependability level. Actively engages and participates in department continuous improvement efforts. Understands and completes documentation needed to comply with policies and procedures that are appropriate for the position Follows safety guidelines, must not pose a risk to self or others, identifies potential safety hazards and initiates corrective action when necessary. Actively participates in all department, quarterly, and company meetings. Other duties as assigned (refer to the job family and skills matrix).
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to read, write, and effectively communicate work information in English. Demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions, including actively participating in a pass down communication to other shift peers and leadership. Demonstrates ability to manage time and resources effectively. Demonstrates behaviors and attitudes that emphasize and focus on permanent resolutions to problems. Basic knowledge of ISO procedures and principles of Lean Manufacturing. Basic computer skills. Demonstrated ability to perform basic shop math calculations. Collaboratively work with others employees within work group to achieve goals. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems when necessary. Demonstrated manual dexterity required. Required within the first 180 days: Ability to interpret job-related blueprints and work instructions. Must be able to use measuring tools to inspect most assigned work. Must be able to effectively use parts handling equipment. Must be able to identify most common tooling types. Must be able to identify most common material types.
