Located in Roseburg, Oregon, Fabform Industries Inc. has continued to grow as a leader in the trailer manufacturing industry. Hour Primary Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this position is to cut and process steel in a high quality and cost- effective way with a positive attitude, while working in a team-centered work environment. This position is the critical stage of our one-piece flow of materials, ensuring all fabrication bays maintain a consistent level of production. This is a high energy and physically demanding position. Situational awareness while operating the saw and basic math skills reading fractions and decimals play a larger factor in success. Metal Processing Handle material from steel racks onto saw rollers and feed into saw cutting area. Accurately read a tape measurer down to the 1/16thof an inch Organize the most efficient way to cut materials Ability to bundle cut certain materials when called for Stack cut material on carts with ALL pieces from cut list Transfer steel from secondary racks to primary processing steel rack with a forklift. Ability to learn how to efficiently run the CNC Plasma table Utilize kanban cards to maintain correct levels of material in all material/bucket racks. Complete weekly inventory sheets to maintain adequate steel inventory. Utilize weekly projections to determine most efficient way to keep production flow consistent and on time Technical Knowledge Understand and observe all FabStaff Inc. operating and manufacturing procedures. Maintain all applicable certification(s). Adjustment and maintenance of all machinery used for cutting and processing Consistently seek individual growth and development opportunities. Administration Report to work daily according to the designated shift start time. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Properly fill out quality control sheets, work orders, and production logs on a daily basis. Perform daily work duties in a safe and timely fashion. Attend and contribute to production and company meetings. Retirement Options Vacation Performance Evaluation:
Your performance will be evaluated in the following manner to ensure a positive relationship between employer and employee. Productivity and efficiency will be evaluated through the use of monthly production logs and your performance against agreed upon production cycle times. Accuracy of quality control sheets, work orders, and production logs will be analyzed weekly through the use of production metrics. Bay cleanliness and organization will be self-evaluated by the employees with an organization and cleanliness checklist sheet. Employee engagement and team participation will be evaluated through co-worker and management observations. In addition, organization health assessments may be utilized. Personal evaluations between management and employees will be conducted at least once a year where overall employee performance will be discussed.
