Job Description
Join Giant Eagle as a Pharmacy Packaging Technician supporting our Warehouse & Manufacturing operations. In this role, you'll operate automated packaging equipment, accurately fill and label prescriptions, and prepare bulk and unit-dose medications for distribution to in-store pharmacies. You'll follow strict safety, sanitation, and cGMP standards, maintain detailed records, and assist with inventory counts and stock rotation. Working closely with pharmacists and team members, you'll help ensure timely, accurate medication delivery while contributing to a culture of respect, teamwork, and exceptional community-focused service. Responsibilities Operate automated and manual pharmacy packaging equipment safely and efficiently Accurately fill, label, and seal bulk and unit-dose medication packages Follow c GMP, pharmacy regulations, and company SOPs at all times Maintain accurate production, lot, and packaging records in designated systems Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation Inspect packaged medications for accuracy, quality, and proper labeling Support pharmacists and pharmacy teams with timely order processing Follow all safety, sanitation, and PPE guidelines in warehouse and production areas Report equipment issues and help with basic cleaning and preventative maintenance Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and service standards Required Skills Automated pharmacy packaging equipment operation Medication packaging and labeling accuracy Basic pharmacy calculations Understanding of c GMP and pharmacy regulations Inventory control and stock rotation Barcode scanning and verification systems Data entry in pharmacy or warehouse systems Quality control and inspection Workplace safety and sanitation procedures Team communication within warehouse and pharmacy settings
