Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for setting up and operating grommet machine that inserts rings (grommets) into fabrics to reinforce holes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set-up, test and run grommet machine in a safe yet productive manner.
- Ability to operate machine and apply grommet in correct locations on fabrics.
- Ability to inspect finished items to make sure grommets are secure, spaced correctly and fabric is free from damage.
- Ability to clean machine, clear minor jams, and perform basic daily maintenance.
- Must be able to maintain clean, organized work area.
- Must be flexible to be able to perform any additional tasks or assignments requested by your supervisor to support production.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required. Ability to effectively communicate with other employees. Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions. Must be able to pay close attention to detail and keep the line moving. Ability to operate hand-truck or move items throughout the production areas.Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time throughout the day.
- Must be able to push, pull and twist to maneuver product through the production stages.
- Must be able to assist operators as necessary.
- Must be able to safely and effectively perform the essential functions of this job.
